Drumstick is long, thin and dark green in color, with fleshy pulp and seeds running throughout the length. It is rich in iron, beta-carotene, Vitamin C, iodine and copper. The pod becomes thick and fibrous as it matures. Drumsticks are mostly prepared by cutting into small pieces and adding to curries, soup and sambhar.
